More than 95% of the nests were in regenerating Acacia tortilis low and in amongst the serious thorns that young Acacia are endowed with, most of the remaining nests were in Balanites aegyptica, also near to the ground and in thick thorns. There were no nests in the mature Acacia tortilis scattered about
