Noteslarge colony in big tree over camp entertainment structure. Comments: Colony active but not breeding or feeding. Many weavers in this & surrounding trees. Often used in evening & morning as a 'staging' tree by many groups of Chestnuts prior to entering or leaving 2 of 5 large fig trees nearby to roost every evening. Mixed colony with 11 sthn masked weaver nestss. Evening territorial interaction with nearby lesser masked colony. LMW often in tree during day seeking grubs. Yellow bill kite continously present.

94237925/3/2014011 nests in main tree, small sub colonies of 3 to 5 nests along adjacent campsite driveway. Comment: SMW females & Chestnut females aggressive displacement common as latter(796) attempt to strip these nests whilst 'staging' before roosting in nearby fig trees. Some newish SMW nests, some being built insmall cluster -but most in large tree deserted. Both weaver species plus many others seem to roost nightly in 2 of 5 large fig trees nearby. nests - 11 +5+2+3 = 21 (Old & new)
