We have had relentless S -Easter gales (freezing) this winter and this tree faces same as one can see.
Recently a group of at least 29 Red Winged Starlings have \"taken over \" the tree. They are not nesting as yet, but swarm, noisily in and out of the branches all day.
Tree Widdrintonia Nodiflora, at least 100 years old ( same vintage as the ones at Stony Point)
16 nests, 5 recently built = grass still green. There has been no sign of the birds here for about a month.
