No real growth seen in this colony - last count was 29 nests - being a combination of Village & some Lesser masked. due to very dry season, many colonies started and then the birds abandoned them - some have returned. Tall palms had Southern masked only. Now seems weavers have moved to 3 new knobthorn sites along road and into these palm trees. Increased activity in area noted over last 3 weeks. No rain this season. Nest count - not done. 7533 797 24/11/2013 0 Vm 7305 revisited. Relocated mixed colony in tall palm trees in garden. Colony showing rapid growth. 29 nests but there are Lesser Masked Weaver nests as well. 8127 797 21/12/2013 19 Vm 7533 revisited.
