Previous reports for Spectacled and Lesser Masked from this site (Vm 6970/1). Rained last night. Immediate reaction from birds as colony inspected 2 days ago. New, almost complete Southern Masked Weaver and 7 Village Weaver rings & one completed nest structure. Village Weaver already performing nest display. No sign of other species yet. Have seen/recorded that these weavers may restore old nests. Village &

No sign of other species yet. 7586 791 30/11/2013 4 Revisited Vm 6970. 2 groups of 2 nests in lower branches of fever trees, over water & bulrushes. currently seem 'not used' Birds heard in vicinity. Looked for newer nests unsuccessfully.
