History of repeat colony counts
Note: repeats from the same day are not shown.vm Species code Date Nests Notes 2490 779 21/6/2012 8 8 red billed buffalo weavers in fever tree at service area of Satara camp. 2 birds sighted on left nest - not in photograph. Seems that some birds do not 'migrate' during the winter - a pair seem to remain - maybe the original paired parents? The new birds/yearlings might leave to flock, mix and select mates elsewhere. Then return to set up their own colonies. 2958 779 18/9/2012 10 repeat visit to restaurant site date; 18 Sept 2012; 10 nests (was 8 on 21/6/2012); 4 or 5 adults and 2 lighter, probably juveniles, feeding in garden and from tables. 6486 779 20/7/2013 5 Reception colony - 2958 revisited
