Feeding off hisbiscus flower nectar. Females seen in the vicinity. note: this is mid winter, the dry cold season, yet there are a number of Sthn masked weavers busy building new nests, using green material from palm fronds common in gardens in the area (probably the only green material as it is the dry season). Females seen in the vicinity. This nest is 70m away from other new nests already reported from Beaufort & Cambridge Ave. Craighall. nest 1
