One thickbill male flushed, others heard. 4 thickbill nests found (one taken for inspection). No occupied or new nests found. Thickbill seem to be permanent residents here - other weavers have moved on.
More than 100 'other weaver' nests in 150m of dense reedbeds but no birds seen. Other similar roadside reedbeds with 'many' similar but vacated weaver nests in this area associated with irrigation systems but not as populated as this one.
