Note: repeats from the same day are not shown.vm Species code Date Nests Notes 5112 3954 12/1/2013 0 3 colonies of Black-capped Social Weaver nesting within 500 m of above coordinates with another 3 colonies within 5 km. These are just what I intercepted so there could be many more though the heavy charcoal cutting does limit the number of mature Acacia tortilis that seem to be preferred. 5 of the colonies were in Ac tortilis and the 6th in Delonix elata. The colonies were rather small with an estimated total of 100 pairs for all six colonies together. 5113 796 13/1/2013 350 One large colony of Chestnut Weaver (3-400 nests) right alongside a large colony of similar size of Lesser Masked Weaver in Ac tortilis near the swamp edge.
