1. about 35 nests in tree. 8 on the ground -examined for inner linings etc. Use fever tree fronds with pinnate leaves inside - just like village weaver fan-like structure.
2. some fallen nests had ripped open egg chamber - by gymnogene.
3. egg fragments. white with brown speckle. Greenish blue with brown speckle. One white & one blue.
4. 10x to 11x different male Yellows. 4x Village weavers males.
5. Sole Fever tree is the highest tree in garden.
6. at least 4 females actively feeding.
7. females also touch-up/tidy nest - one even brought strand of material.
8. both male & females seen to bite off and drop fever tree leaves.
8. females also do wing shiver and upside down hanging display - but not as strongly as males.
9. Colony surrounded by virile riverine forest trees.
10. Many other birds using this tree to perch etc.
