This is a significant increase from my previous count which was probably not accurate. I counted from a better angle using binoculars. Again saw Pied Kingfisher next to weavers. Nest count 27 Nest site reed

Black and White "Kingfisher" was about 5 mt away. I only managed a photo when it settled 25 mt away. 2764 799 24/8/2012 27 27 nests including 3 green ones under construction. Much activity and female carrying nesting material.

This is a lovely site with much activity and I could see at least 4 males at work as can be seen on the photo.
Repeat count 3292 799 14/10/2012 40 This colony has continued to expand and now consists of 40 nests of which 2 were green. Its very nicely situated and a good view site. 3736 799 4/11/2012 38 This colony has grown to 38 nests but activity seems to have reached a low as only one bird was seen and no green nests. 6242 799 14/7/2013 11 11 nests in total 3 green. Photos taken from two opposing sides. 6685 799 31/7/2013 11 11 nests in total, including 1 green. Much bird activity.
