0137ACLocality Lukenya Getaway Latitude, longitude -1.45619301435637, 37.0477531850338 [0 m accuracy] Date 2016/7/27 Notes This evening I took a walk in the Lekunya area, South of Nairobi Kenya. I cam across a tree with Grey-capped social weaver or grey-headed social weaver (Pseudonigrita arnaudi) nests. As the sun was setting the tree received different visitors to sleep in the nests. The first group to visit the nests was a group of approximately twenty (20) Cut-throat finches (Amalinda fasciata). Approximately eight of them entered one of the nests. The next group of birds were three (3) Fischer’s Lovebirds (Agapornis fischeri) [see BirdPix 28650]. They approached the same goup of nests. By that time approximately thirty (30) Grey-capped social weavers arrived at the tree and chased the lovebirds away. Another group of lovebirds also approached a group of nests in a tree approximately 20 meters away. It was getting dark and another group of birds arrived but they were immediately chased off by the weavers. Nest count 5 Nest site tree
