NotesOn Inglewood there is one very large colony in an Acacia erioloba and they breed most years, there is also a white-backed vultures nest in this tree. The s. w. nest in the bottom third of the tree while the vulture nest is on the canopy top. Not sure if there is an association between the two species. There used to be a smaller sociable weaver's nest in an old windmill, but the structure was taken down some years back. The Inglewood s. w. colony is surrounded by old lands and consequently a lot of pioneer grasses like Aristidas and Stipagrosriss species.
