185179127/12/20111The birds definitely did breed again in that same nest. The fledgling that flew into our house, and subsequently crash landed on the roof may have died later from internal injuries, and that may have caused a second nesting. It was almost immediate. Photo 1 was taken when I noticed the male taking a lot of time over thoroughly checking and repairing. The young inside were/was relatively well grown, judging by the volume and strength of its cheeps inside the nest while he was busy. I suspect it may only have been one, as there only seemed to be one fledgling once it came out about 9 January. The nest was on a long stem of a rosebush that is growing up the house. This window is on the upper floor of the house. Photo 2 was taken of the male in the palm leaves right next to the rose tendril. If it is the same weaver, (and he is the only one we ever see), he has been visiting our bathroom window area for about 4-5 years. The first two years he tapped incessantly on the window, all day, every day. The 3rd year he had a mate, and actually started building.
