NotesI noticed some more nests at the back of the tree, closest to the road (to Nieu-Bethesda). So we stopped at the spot and not long thereafter, Alan heard the birds calling in a distance. We went to a spot close to an Agave plantation, where we saw 3 individuals moving about. We could see their nests in at least 6 trees in the immediate area - some old and falling apart, but others looking active. Back at the vehicles Gill told us that while we were out in the veld, another 2 birds were present at one of the nests in the tree next to the road. So we can confirm that 5 birds were seen in the vicinity. [see also record on facebook]
