Ecological interactions in weavers from PHOWN
The PHOWN database contains some interesting photos and records relating to interactions between breeding weavers and other birds or animals. Examples of interactions are Nest associations, Nest use, Predation, and Brood parasitism (see definitons in key below map).Thanks to all participants who have contributed amazing photos and records!
Selecting species on this web:
Select a weaver species and an associate/host/predator/parasite species and click Go.The map below shows the interaction records from the PHOWN database for the selected species.
The table lower down shows the records and thumb-nails of these records.
Click on a map marker, or table record, or thumb-nail to see the full PHOWN record.
Advanced option:
Choose "Weaver family" under Weavers to see interactions on all weavers by a particular associate/host/predator/parasite species.
Choose "All species" to see interactions by all associate/host/predator/parasite species on a particular weaver species.
