NotesURD, Kev Roy collected a cluster of several inter-woven Heughlin’s Masked Weaver P. heuglini nests that had fallen to the ground beneath a colony of 20 nests. The colony had been regularly monitored throughout the rains from its discovery on 31st August by KR and breeding activity was proven during that period. The colony was deserted when visited by CRB and KR on the afternoon of 1st November, and on subsequent visits by KR. On dissection of the fallen nests four nestlings of Red-cheeked Cordon Bleu U. bengalus about six days old were found in one of them, all of them dead and cold but still turgid with no ants or other insects attacking them. Two of the pulli were photographed and then preserved in 95% ethanol solution
