|Notes||Numerous clusters of yellow weaver nests attached to two (2) reed stems (phragmites) similar but smaller and courser material used than thickbilled weaver - entrance at base. all on west facing eastern shores/banks - ie facing over river. Many new nests being built. examined some nests - no eggs or lining. different nests examined for at least 2 kms. No flocks, just single males - red eye conspicuous. many clusters of 2 to 5 nests hidden in the reeds – some new, others older. Probably examined 10 for eggs/lining. Estimate of 60 nests in total but not considered ‘a colony’ as widely separated and different males.|
