NotesVm 5128 revisited. Location: lower, scattered group of Braamfontein weaver nests both sides of the river. Area checked 25/5/2013 a few tatty nest scraps observed so not reported. Area now has scattered green/new nests - hard to specify exact locations except tree nests. No bishops seen. Partially moulting birds seen. No of nests - probably 6 new but area is swampy, dense and inaccessible.

51238037/1/20133These nests are on the western end of large & high reedbeds along Braamfontein spruit. Lots of others but well hidden in huge reeds.
61618035/7/201313mv 5123 revisited. location: old colony in large reeds adjoining fence now cut down. Large colony now moved 10m to remaining dense green reeds. 13 new green nests in small colonies. Much activity amongst nests. Birds hard to photograph. Moulted and semi moulted birds observed. Whole area brown except reedbeds. Mid winter breeding activity. No precipitation for months but spruit is visited frequently by these birds. no of nests - counted 13 new
