vmSpecies codeDateNestsNotes
27007997/8/20121414 nests on green reeds in pond, two lots 3 mt apart. Well camouflaged.
271179913/8/2012173 new green nests brought the total nests to 17. Black and White "Kingfisher" was about 5 mt away. I only managed a photo when it settled 25 mt away.
276479924/8/20122727 nests including 3 green ones under construction. Much activity and female carrying nesting material. This is a significant increase from my previous count which was probably not accurate. I counted from a better angle using binoculars. Again saw Pied Kingfisher next to weavers.
280379929/8/20122626 nests including 5 green ones. This is a lovely site with much activity and I could see at least 4 males at work as can be seen on the photo. Repeat count
329279914/10/201240This colony has continued to expand and now consists of 40 nests of which 2 were green. Its very nicely situated and a good view site.
37367994/11/201238This colony has grown to 38 nests but activity seems to have reached a low as only one bird was seen and no green nests.
624279914/7/20131111 nests in total 3 green. Photos taken from two opposing sides.
668579931/7/20131111 nests in total, including 1 green. Much bird activity. REPEAT
