Notesnests on telephone wires & poles alongside R36 200m near D202, Makalali/Gravelot turn off. Nest counted by groups (west to east -3+1+4+1+3+5+5+5+4+26+3+5 = 65 total) Comment:. At least 8 red-headed plus 2 yellow headed young males counted plus 2 females 1st Rains - light shower but puddles still around from previous night. vm 7316 revisited

(Vm 7179) Males seen carrying insects and twigs, not for building or feeding, but holding them in beaks and doing shaking displays on top. Eventually dropping twigs in a disinterested way. Females busy inside nests, probably brooding. Black cuckoo calling from nearby tree. Chased off by males.
