Longevity record for Cape Weaver

On 9 May 2009 Adrian Craig recaptured Cape Weaver BB74847 in Florence Street, Grahamstown. It was a male in almost full breeding plumage. It had been ringed by Adrian at the same site on 17 September 1995, as an adult male in breeding plumage. The elapsed time is 13y 7m 25d. Adrian noted that the wing length and mass were nearly identical on recapture as at ringing.
The previous longevity record for this species was 10y 4m 1d (CC12898).
